Things to Note
- PLEASE be on time as the boat departs promptly.
- This is a “rain or shine” event which means we paddle when it rains (we get wet anyway).
- On Saturday after paddling we gather by the beach for drinks and a chat. After that some of us go to a local Chinese cafe (fondly known as “Hotel Harbin”) for great food, lots of beer and more chat.
Training includes
- Preparation of the boat and equipment;
- Warm up;
- Instruction for beginners by the coach and other experienced paddlers (so no need to be afraid if you’ve never paddled before);
- Technique exercises;
- Endurance drills, etc;
- Preparation for dragon boat races (regattas).
